Two Ilkley football teams will be chasing cup glory this weekend.

Ilkley Town take on Rawdon Old Boys in the semi-finals of the Wharfedale FA Challenge Cup on Saturday afternoon.

Then 24 hours later Ilkley Dynamo take on Milford United in the last four of the Wharfedale FA Sunday Cup.

Ilkley Town, beaten final-ists two years ago when they lost 3-2 to Otley Town, have never won the trophy and they are hoping to be well supported at Ben Rhydding (1.30pm).

Club commercial manager Michael Eardley said: “We are hoping for as much support as possible.

“We would like to have a crowd of more than 100 and we have been doing our best to publicise the game.”

The second semi-final sees Otley Rovers take on Baildon Trinity Athletic.

Town will have to be wary of Rawdon Old Boys because they defeated Otley Town, winners for the past three seasons, 2-1 in the last round.

Dynamo., who currently top the Wharfedale Triangle Premier Division, last won the Sunday cup 29 years ago back in the 1983-84 season.

Another final appearance is long overdue and they will be hoping their current good form continues on Sunday.

In the other semi-final, Yeadon Veterans, who have a 100 per cent record in the Wharfedale Triangle Premier Division, take on Rawdon Old Boys.
