TWO of West Yorkshire's most talented teenage riders will start the defence of their national titles on Sunday.
Beth Dunning from Crosshills and Denholme's Olivia Brooksbank hope to impress in the first of six events in this year's ladies and girls national trials championship series at Seymours Arena, Didcot.
Dunning is defending her inter crown while Brooksbank will be hoping to dominate Youth Class again.
Eighteen-year-old Gabby Whitham from Silsden will be competing in the elite adult category where she will again come up against multi-world champion Emma Bristow.
Thirty six riders will contest the ten different age and skill classes.
Among the other young hopefuls looking to impress is Barnoldswick's 13-year-old Lucy Ayrton, who comes from a true biking family and progressed rapidly last year.
She will ride her 125cc Beta machine but is waiting for a new TRS machine.
The most voluble girl in the West Yorkshire squad is nine year old Poppy Fletcher from Cookridge who rides her electric powered Oset machine with vigour.
Isobel Skehan also competes under Yeadon-Guiseley colours on Sunday.
