ILKLEY'S Thomas Horsley and his partner Stuart Shanon from Worcestershire have won the Waverley Open Under-14 boys double title in Edinburgh
They won a hard-fought final against the Scottish players |Harris Brogan and Marcus Macaulay 13-11 in a match-deciding tie break.
The Scottish pair had taken the first set 6-3 before Horsley and Shannon hit back impressively.
The event is a Grade 3 tournament (Regional level), part of the LTA competitions and among the past winners of the under-14 doubles is Davis Cup player Jamie Murray. He triumphed in 1998.
