ALLERTON'S David Petty just managed to beat Skipton Richard Pearson by just three penalties at the Bradford Motor Club's sixth Manywells Clubman and Beginners trial at Deepcliff Farm on Saturday.

The winner managed to ride 32observed sections incurring just two penalties.

His first mark was lost on lap one at the seventh section and the second on lap three in section four.

Challenger Pearson also lost his marks in the same two sections.

Just seven adults contested the hard course and a further tree youths headed by Martyn Pratt whose father was placed third in the adult category.
