TEN-YEAR-OLD Martha Jackson, from Moorfield School, was crowned the National Year 5 girls cross country champion at Prestwold Hall in Loughborough.
Martha represented West Yorkshire at the championships in a field of 255 athletes, comprising the top ten selected runners from each county across the UK.
The Bingley Harrier helped the West Yorkshire team to came first overall.
To cap off a wonderful experience, Martha was presented with her winners' medal by Great Britain star Jenny Meadows, who has won European indoor gold and World Championship bronze at 800 metres.
