ADDINGHAM'S Hermione Roe dominated the 12 years age group events

in the Yorkshire Swimming Championships at the John Charles Centre for Sport in Leeds.

The City of Bradford swimmer stood on top of the rostrum in ten events and in doing so broke five club records.

Her wins came in the 100m backstroke, 200m individual medley, 50m and 100m butterfly, 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke and 50m, 100m and 200m freestyle.

She also claimed second spot in the 50m backstroke to round off an excellent series of swims as she helped her club achieve their best results in the event.

Ilkley's Wilbur Summerson struck gold as part of the victorious 11/12 years freestyle team and added a bronze in the medley relay in the 14 years age group.

Archie Minto, also from Ilkley, featured in the silver medal winning boys 13/14 years freestyle. He also won an individual bronze in the 100m butterfly and collected a bronze in the medley relay.

Sam Naylor and George Wilde, two more Ilkley swimmers, reached the finals of their event with Wilde setting a new club record. Ellen Winters of Guiseley was another City of Bradford finalist.
