Popular Tongan returning to Dalesmen

Tuli Makaafi is returning to Ilkley
Tongan back Tuli Makaafi is rejoining Ilkley for the new Yorkshire Division One campaign.
Makaafi, who featured in the Dalesmen’s Yorkshire Shield triumph in 2011, is due to arrive on August 15.
He was a popular figure in his previous spell at Stacks Field and made his mark with his strong running and part- icularly hard tackling.
Ilkley’s rugby operations manager Tom Gillon said: “Tuli went back to Tonga for a year after the Shield win so we are delighted that he is going to return to play for us again.
“He is a great addition to the squad and we hope to make a few more in the coming weeks.”
