ILKLEY produced a stunning performance to win the Secure Trading 24/Sevens Series at Bath on Saturday.
After winning all their three group matches and semi-final against Samurai Bulldogs, Ilkley claimed the national crown with a 19-12 win over Honey Badgers.
Player of the tournament Ben Magee scored two tries and JH Johnson one as Ilkley took the title.
Elliot Morgan, Ilkley's captain, said of the victory: "It’s a surreal but great feeling to win the Secure Trading 24/Sevens Series.
"To play here at the Rec against all these great teams was amazing. To be national champions is a great achievement for us, a group of lads from a small club who just wanted to give sevens our best shot."
