RHYS Morgan sees last Saturday's impressive 31-8 home win over Hull as a stepping stone for his side.

He feels it will give the players self belief for the National Three North challenges that lie ahead, starting with Saturday's derby clash at Cleckheaton.

Morgan said: "I was really pleased with the performance against Hull. It is something we need to build on.

"This league is extremely competitive and we have to make sure we have the right approach at Cleckheaton.

"Like us they have won their last two games so I expect another tough test. Last season they beat us at their ground and we need to be on our game on Saturday."

Two influential figures in the win over Hull, stand off Charlie Ramsey and winger JH Johnson will miss the match at Moorend.

Ramsey is unavailable so that gives Ed Brown, back from his cricketing duties with Burley, the opportunity to regain the position he made his own in the second half of last season.

The absence of Johnson, who picked up an ankle injury against Hull, opens the way for Deon Hendricks to make his debut.

Ilkley will also be forced to make a change in the second row. Martyn Mitchell is unavailable so Kieran Dannatt is expected to return.
