CENTRE Nathan Jones ran in four tries as Ilkley secured their place in the final of the Aire-Wharfe Cup at Stacks Field on Tuesday night.

His try-scoring exploits contributed to an absorbing contest in which both sides demonstrated a willingness to run the ball.

It made for a wonderful advert for lower team rugby and provided the spectators with plenty to enjoy.

Dave Smith also scored a try for Ilkley while full back Anny Malley kicked four conversions and two penalties for a personal haul of 14 points.

The match illustrated again the progress Ilkley with the standard of their second team rugby having risen impressively in recent seasons.

Ilkley are due to play the winners of last night's clash between Yarnbury and Old Otliensians in the final.
