HEAD of rugby Rhys Morgan was a frustrated figure as he saw his side pass up another good opportunity to secure victory.

He was particularly disappointed that their line-out and two on one finishing didn’t come up to the mark.

“These are areas we do a lot of work on in training,” said Morgan.

“We missed out on a series of good positions through losing line-outs or taking poor options when we had created an opening.

“At the higher level of rugby we are playing at we have to take those chances.

“I know it is disappointing for everybody when they see us third from the bottom of the league, but I feel it is important that people do not go into panic mode.

“We are an amateur club who have stepped up to what is a semi-professional league.

“We have had our setbacks, but we have acquitted ourselves well

“The players don’t want to just survive at this level, they want to climb the table.

“I am sure we can do that in the new year.”

Morgan has been pleased with the players’ response to Saturday’s loss. He added: “They were working hard in training on Tuesday.

“They wanted to work on the things which went wrong against Lymm and that is the attitude we need for the rest of the season.”
