ILKLEY’S injury jinx has struck again and claimed more victims.

Flanker Charlie Davy will be out for three to six months after damaging a shoulder in Saturday’s impressive 25-15 North One East win at West Hartlepool.

And new boy Rupert Garland, who made his debut at No8, picked up a neck injury which makes him doubtful for Saturday’s trip to face bottom team Horden.

Head of rugby, Rhys Morgan, is hoping that the experienced Ollie Renton will be available as the Dalesmen look for a third-successive win.

The Hartlepool game marked the first full appearance of versatile back Jimmy Henry.

He was thrust into the side at full back when skipper Stuart Vincent was injured in training.

“It was good to give Jimmy a go and he did well for us,” added Morgan.

Last week’s success took Ilkley up to their highest-ever position in league rugby of sixth in North One East and Morgan is keen to build on the good start.

“The lads are doing remarkably well considering all the injuries and changes we are having to make,” said Morgan.
