Ben Rhydding’s Demy Dowley is Bradford Grammar School’s new hockey coach. Demy, the current head coach to the England National Age Groups Academy and a centrally contracted coach for the England Hockey Board, joined the school’s sports department in January.

She will be working three days per week coaching the school’s hockey teams. She is a qualified teacher who has been working at Malsis School and a professional hockey coach.

Demy has worked with the England under-16 and under-18 girls’ squads over the last two seasons, winning a bronze medal in the European Championships last August.

Her wealth of experience also includes being the current head coach at Ben Rhydding Hockey Club, in charge of the men’s first team and the Elite Academy. At Ben Rhydding Demy has taken junior teams to 12 National Finals. Demy has also been head coach to various North Youth teams, and last year made history by winning the Futures Cup with the under-16 girls – the first time the North have won at any age group.
