England star Sue Smith and her Leeds United colleague Lucy Ward visited Ilkley Town Girls Under-14 squad on Monday night to pass on some tips.
Sue and Lucy joined the girls on the astro turf at Ben Rhydding Sports Club for a coaching session.
They gave expert coaching in preparation for Sunday's Shield match against Middleton Park. The girls are hoping to build on a run of recent victories which has placed them top of their division in the West Riding Girls Football League.
They got into the Christmas spirit donning Santa hats and reindeer antlers.
