THIS year's T20 TB Cup got under way last Thursday with just four teams taking part.

As many as ten clubs have competed in the past but, with numerous clubs' struggling at present to put teams on the field, the entry has dropped dramatically.

Organiser, Richard Brook, vows to continue running the tournament and trying to encourage clubs to rejoin next season.

In the opening matches, Otley visited Pool and racked up a formidable score of 210-3 with Chris Thompson cracking a magnificent unbeaten century.

In reply, Pool only had one major contribution from Ryan Sharrocks with 75 and finished well short on 137-8.

At Ilkley, Burley made 211-5 batting first. Jason Wright (45), Red Bolton(36) and Nick Brook(48no), the main scorers.

Ilkley lost wickets regularly in their chase and could only reach 145. Terry Pattinson top scored with 32 as James Frost took 4-32 for Burley.

Tonight's fixtures: Burley v Pool, Otley v Ilkley.
