THE Hawks suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of Nidderdale rivals The Druids last Sunday at Spofforth Cricket Club.
Opting to bat, the Hawks racked up 253-8 on a super pitch, aided by plenty of dropped catches, Nathan Harford making 104, and Charlie Parker jnr 52 and Henry Crossley 33.
However, any thoughts of a quick victory were dashed amid more dropped catches as Matt King made 134 not out, Paul Hughes 57 not out and Dan Illingworth 33, with the hosts getting home for the loss of just two wickets in just 31 overs.
This Sunday, the Hawks visit Collingham (2pm start).
