Yeadon left in a spin by Mushtaq

Yeadon's poor form against the top teams continued when they were soundly beaten by Baildon on Saturday.
They were dismissed for a dismal 40 as left arm spinner Mushtaq Ahmed bagged a superb eight for eight off 9.3 overs. Baildon were able to chase down their target within 15 overs for the loss of only two wickets.
Whilst form has been inconsistent in the league, performances in the cup competitions have been much better. However, they were knocked out of the Priestley Cup, after defeat to holders Pudsey Congs.
Andrew Robertson's four for 42 helped restrict the Congs to 159 for nine. Greg Lambert and Grant Soames both picked up two wickets whilst Glen Robertson top scored for Pudsey with 40. Yeadon would later rue giving the Congs 32 extras, as they were bowled out for 95. Jon Henry top scored with 23 at the top of the innings.
Saturday sees Yeadon visit Bowling Old Lane in a huge relegation battle. After beating Old Lane earlier in the season Yeadon will look to do the double and enhance their chances of surviving relegation.
Yeadon seconds entertain local rivals Esholt.
Esholt firsts, who sit one place above Yeadon, were soundly beaten by Hanging Heaton on Saturday. Bowled out for 60, Heaton were able to knock off their target thanks mainly to Rizwan Ahmed's 44 not out.
Esholt did go through to the quarter-finals of the Priestley Cup after beating a Morley side that included Yorkshire player Chris Taylor.
However, Taylor's inclusion could not help his team as he was dismissed for 12. Morley were eventually all out for 93, thanks mainly to Shazaib Khan (4-26) and Gulsheraz Ahmed (4-17). Ben Plat (29) and Ahmed (22) then helped see Esholt home.
Esholt seconds were unable to progress in the Shield being defeated by Gomersal but they did beat Hanging Heaton in the league. Masaver Massidque 42 helped Esholt to 175 and Heaton were then dismissed for 64 with Chris Dawson taking six for 23.
The win sees Esholt sitting in second place, 15 points off champions and unbeaten league leaders East Bierley.
Jon Carey scored a marvellous century as Yeadon Seconds defeated Baildon at Jenny Lane on Saturday.
Carey, who has been unavailable of late, made a stunning return to the side as he top scored with 110. Batting first Yeadon scored 219 for eight with opener Andrew Pickering, who scored a centur the previous week, sharing a 102 run third wicket stand with Carey.
Pickering eventually fell to Chris Reynolds for 29, however the class of Carey was out to see as he punished Baildon's bowler.
Carey hit 11 boundaries in a 148 ball innings. Yeadon's overall total was also helped by the 25 extras bowled by Baildon.
Carey then made a valuable contribution with the ball as he took three for 35 but it was the ever present form of opening bowler Richard Wood who caught the eye.
Wood ripped through the Baildon middle order and finished with great figures of five for three off his 14 overs.
Steve Gilks wrapped up the tail with two wickets as Baildon were dismissed for 138.
Leeds Rhinos star Jamie Peacock will be a guest at Yeadon Cricket Club's Fun Day this Sunday helping to raise funds for junior cricket.
There will be various sideshows and games and visitors will be able to face the bowling machine purchased for the club's juniors by Pan Credit.
The club is in the process of building a three lane practice wicket on land near the clubhouse. They are also looking at reinstating a bowling green behind the scorebox.
