HARTSHEAD Moor only need 32 points from their remaining five games to secure the All Rounder Cricket Bradford Premier League Championship Division Two title.

They took another step towards their prime objective for the season with a seven-wicket win over lowly Hopton Mills.

The victory put them in good heart for the Jack Hampshire Cup final against Wakefield St Michael's at Pudsey Congs the following day.

Once again their two key players, former Yorkshire seamer Iain Wardlaw and opening batsman Mohammad Khan, were in good form.

Wardlaw took 3-32 as Mills, despite a defiant 52 from Umar Abbas, were all out for 116.

Khan then ensured that his team cruised to their target with 64, Jordan Craven picking up the three Moor wickets to fall at a personal cost of 16 runs.

Wicket-keeper Harry Duke made an unbeaten 83 to steer second-placed Hunslet Nelson to a four-wicket win over Northowram Fields.

Duke made sure that his side chased down their opponents' score of 177, which included a battling 56 from Jason Smith.

Altofts are breathing down Nelson's necks, being two points behind after their three-wicket win over Buttershaw St Paul's.

Jordan Carter just missed out on a century for Altofts, making a fine 98 which, with help from Arkam Asif (37) and Adam Perry (33), ensured that Altofts overhauled St Paul's' 222.

Jamie Robson (63) and Jonathan Burston (62) top-scored for Saints as they shared a second-wicket stand of 109.

That man Farroukh Alam made another important contribution for Altofts with 5-59.

Keighley returned to winning ways with a two-wicket success against Liversedge.

It was their bowlers who set up the win, with James Rogers taking 5-45 and Travis Nightingale 3-0 as Liversedge were dismissed for 143.

Paul Marlow (53) and Asif Ali (43) were their top scorers.

Keighley were guided towards their target by Luke Chapman (41) and Australian Nightingale (33).

The best of the Liversedge bowlers was Steve Lane (3-27).

Carlton opener Will Smith showed no sympathy for the plight of his old club Spen Victoria.

He made an unbeaten 90, which sentenced them to a six-wicket defeat and leaves Spen at the foot of the table. Arman Hussain (43) gave Smith good support.

Earlier, Smith had taken 3-40 with his off-spin as Spen were bowled out for 182.

Joshua Thurwell (3-52) was the other key bowler, while opener Peter Jackson (55) and skipper Ollie Davison (34) were the best of the Spen batsmen.

West Indian all-rounder Deron Greaves made 58 and took 3-29 as Idle defeated Brighouse by three wickets.

Khurram Maqsood (47) and Adil Mehmood (30) top-scored for Brighouse in their 161.

Thanks to Greaves and Arbaab Hussain (43), Idle secured their seventh win of the season.
