THIRD Division Tong Park Esholt earned a place in the semi-final of the cup for the first time when the calculators showed they edged out Division One Rawdon on run rate.

With James Druce (57) and Ajanthe Weerapuli (29) gave Park a solid start before Rawdon hit back. George Powell (3-32), Kuda Samunderu (3-26) and Andrew Duckworth (3-7) sparked a collapse which saw the last eight wickets fall for 40 runs as Park were dismissed for 150.

Will Murray removed both Rawdon openers with only 19 on the board and though Samunderu steadied things with 26, they had still only managed to scrap together 57-3 in the 17 overs before rain ended play and Park went through.

They will now meet North Leeds who bowled out Division Three side

Green Lane for 135 and had reached 65-2 when it rained, going through on run rate.

Burley reached the semi-finals for the seventh time in eight years after knocking out Menston, also on run rate.

Jason Wright made a stunning137 not out which contained six sixes and 19 fours as Burley made 249-9 despite the fine efforts of Josh Dracup (6-52).

Menston had only made17-4 before rain stopped play and they went out.

Burley now have a mouth-watering clash with Otley who eliminated their great rivals Beckwithshaw on a bowl out. The one innings that was played saw Otley reach 207-6, the highlight of which was a stand of 93 between James Davies (47) and David Hester (66).
