OTLEY crashed to defeat at North Leeds and lost their place at the top of the DIVISION ONE table with just two Aire-Wharfe League games left to play.

It was their first league defeat since May 16 and their 121 total was the first time they have failed to pick up a single batting bonus point when going in first.

They did manage to reduce the home side to 49-6 to pick up three bowling points but No 8 Amir Farooq (46) clinched the game for North Leeds.

Meanwhile, Beckwithshaw were taking the full 20 points against Steeton to put them five points clear at the summit.

Chasing 250-7, Steeton made a solid start, with Andrew Foulds and John Akrigg putting on 54 for the first wicket. Jonathan Best weighed in with 70 but they still went down by 57 runs.

There was some consolation though, because the six bonus points were enough to ensure top-flight cricket next season.

Ilkley edged a little closer safety with a tense one-wicket win against fellow strugglers Guiseley.

Joe Inglis (43) was the only Guiseley batsman to find an answer to the accuracy of Henry Wilson (5-22) and Dave Pennett (3-15) and they were skittled for 97.

Ilkley did not find the going easy either, with Marcus Brown picking up 7-44, but a seventh-wicket stand of 21 between Rob Spivey and former Guiseley captain Pennett just swung the game Ilkley's way.

Guiseley and Follifoot, who were defeated by Kirkstall, share bottom spot, with Ilkley 14 points better off.

Burley were involved in an extraordinary match in which they were dismissed for 116 by Collingham, all ten wickets falling to leg-spinner Stephen James, but still won.

Burley's total was only made that respectable by a second successive half-century from Sami Rehman.

The game looked all over when the home side reached 104-5 but, with Ed Brown (5-25) and David Revis (3-12) in full flight, Burley took the last five wickets for three runs in 35 balls.

Andrew Duckworth's unbeaten 94 was the highlight of Rawdon's 186 at Bilton but the home side clinched victory with three wickets in hand.

Like Otley, DIVISION TWO leaders Skipton crashed to defeat and were overtaken by Horsforth, who crushed Green Lane and all but consigned them to relegation.

Iqbal Khan (56no) and Keir Nelson (34) put on 91 for Skipton's seventh wicket but their 147 was not nearly enough and Illingworth cruised home by five wickets.

Horsforth's hero was Ollie Hardaker, who smashed 19 fours and eight sixes in racing to 177 off 139 balls.

Set to chase 257-8, Lane collapsed against Michael Lambert (4-21) and Mahir Ali (3-19) and were bowled out for 78.

Pool also took maximum points with a win over Thackley and are now just three points behind Skipton.

Openers David Paynter (62) and Charlie Bell (110) put on 126, while contributions from Jake Zslinszky (58) and Tosh Baker (38) set a target of 272-2.

Spinner Ben Platt than produced a devastating 3.4-over spell of 6-6 as Thackley crashed out for 62.

Danny Groom (75no) helped Tong Park Esholt to 188-5 and Adel's chase was halted when Mick Scott picked up two wickets in consecutive balls at 71-3 and Lyle D'Razario took 4-9.

The win leaves Tong Park Esholt in the bottom two but now only three points behind Harden, who fell eight runs short of victory at Colton after Paul Quinlan (4-16) and Michael O'Flaherty dismissed the home side for 113.

Red Bolton (50no) and Kervan Christmas (41) starred in Ben Rhydding's 195-6 before Tom Pratt (4-40) and Alex Miller (3-40) restricted Knaresborough to 156-8.

Addingham moved a step closer to promotion from DIVISION THREE with an emphatic victory over Old Modernians.

Ricky Palacio (61) and Tom Smallwood (68no) top-scored in their 236-8, while Henry Barrow (3-20) was the pick of the bowlers as the home side were dismissed for 158.

Olicanian slipped to third when lowly Alwoodley passed their 127 with three wickets in hand, while Bev Williams dented New Rover's promotion hopes – scoring 80 not out in Hall Park's 173 and then running out last man Navid Ahmed with the hosts two runs short of victory

Those results allowed Calverley to climb to second after they inflicted the latest heavy defeat on bottom side Silsden.

Julian Thornhill (49) set the platform but it was a sparkling 118 not out in 68 balls from Jatinder Singh that caught the eye in Calverley's 254-4 declared.

Singh even weighed in with a couple of cheap wickets and, with Tom Simpson taking 5-23, Silsden crashed out for 66.

Michael Clarke (74no) and David Bayne (5-15) were Bolton Villas' heroes as they beat Bardsey by 98 runs, while Josh Dracup (76) led Menston's successful run chase after Upper Wharfedale made 190.
