BURLEY'S dream of lifting the Waddilove Cup for the fourth time in six years was shattered by a Bilton side who never let them off the hook on the way to winning by eight wickets.

After a steady start, Tom Day was dismissed for 22 with the score on 39 and he was quickly followed by Sami Rehman and Nick Brook, dismissed in three balls by man of the match Will Liddle.

Charlie Davy went for one and even though Ed Brown made a half-century and shared useful stands with Jason Wright and Richard Brook, Burley could only muster 140.

That was never going to be enough and Bilton openers Vic Craven and Michael Donnelly each made half-centuries, despite Richard Brook trying seven different bowlers to try and make the breakthrough.
