Ollie Hardaker produced the performance of the day in the Aire-Wharfe League, smashing 13 fours and 11 sixes on his way to 160 as Horsforth continued to show their determination to win promotion from Division Three.

Hardaker, who rejoined the club this season after three years at Collingham, took just 135 balls and, with Mark Gilliver (61), put on 193 for the first wicket.

Andy Robinson weighed in with 40 in 20 balls as Horsforth raced to 318-5 and he then picked up three wickets as Addingham were dismissed for 166, Richard Hey (46) and Rob Ellis (44) being the main contributors.

But Horsforth won’t have it all their own way in what promises to be a very competitive division.

Silsden, who finished rock-bottom last season, are a bonus point ahead of them at the top of the table after beating Calverley.

Majid Inayat (57) top-scored in their 220-6 before David Wynn (4-41), Iqbal Khan (3-44) and Mohammed Waqas (3-43) dismissed the visitors for 189 in which Ben Waller made 62.

And Illingworth also have a 100 per cent record following their skittling out of Olicanian for 43, with Liam Kelly taking five wickets without conceding a run in nine overs.

Hall Park showed they are likely to be among the challengers after beating New Rover, who are themselves hoping to be in the mix. William Brown (73no) and Daniel Holah (25no) put on 106 to steer Park past the 171 target with five wickets to spare.

Despite the efforts of Gareth Lee (67 and 3-41), Menston came off second best against Bardsey.

Ilkley remain at the top of Division One but they had a few worrying moments against Rawdon in the clash of the two promoted sides.

Chris Gill (52) helped Rawdon recover from 28-5 to 130, with Dave Pennett picking up four wickets.

Ilkley’s confidence was tested early when they lost their first three wickets for four runs. At 50-5, they were still in trouble but a sixth-wicket stand of 54 between Ian Chaplin (31) and Paul Dover (24) gave them hope and they managed to get home by one wicket, despite the efforts of Andrew Doidge (4-31).

James Wilcox (7-29) starred as second-placed Otley continued to impress, dismissing early pacemakers Kirkstall Educational for 74 to win by 78 runs.

A half-century from Lewis Bolton helped Ben Rhydding to 211, with James Emmott taking 6-54. But it wasn’t enough to stop third-placed Steeton, with Andrew Foulds (57) and Neil Spragg (48) seeing them home by two wickets.

Ed Brown (63) gave Burley a solid start in their chase of Collingham’s 171, but when the last pair came together they still needed 14 to win and fell four short.

Brian Jackson (52no) and Marcus Brown (4-26) were the chief architects of Guiseley’s comfortable win over Bilton in Division Two, while Green Lane notched their first win, overcoming Tong Park Esholt by 93 runs after Michael Abbott (105) and Waleed Akhtar shared an opening stand of 160.

James Roper (77) top-scored in Harden’s 210, with Mike Oldfield taking five wickets. Bolton Villas were then dismissed for 185, despite a gutsy seventh-wicket stand of 60 between Michael Clarke (45) and Junaid Bashir (36).

Skipton came up 37 runs short of promotion hopefuls North Leeds’ 221, while Thackley’s woes continued, bowled out for 137 in reply to Knaresborough’s 188-9.
