Ben Rhydding were crowned champions in the final of the T20 TB Cup after a 28-run win in front of a huge crowd at Burley.
Batting first, Rhydding racked up another large total. Great knocks from Red Bolton (43) and man of the match Robbie Miller (49no) led them to a formidable 184-6, Matt O’Grady taking three victims for Otley.
Regular wickets then meant Otley’s chase never got up with the run rate but lower-order batsmen George Huntley (31) and Paul Nicholson (29) gave the score respectability. Jamie Pickering again proved dangerous with the ball, taking 3-18 for Rhydding.
The competition final continues to attract plenty of spectators, who were treated to an excellent match on a beautiful evening.
