A century stand between Otley’s Stewart Smith and James Davies brought Guiseley’s perfect start to the Division One season to a halt.

Indeed, with the season only three weeks old, only Skipton out of all 36 clubs still have a 100 per cent record, turning the Division Three table upside down after finishing rock bottom last season.

Peter Towner included 13 boundaries in his 75 but found little support and Guiseley’s 165-6 never looked likely to be enough especially when Smith (50) and Davies (74) came together and put on 118 for the third wicket to set up Otley’s win.

Robbie Miller (61) led the way as Ben Rhydding secured their second-successive win.

They reached 215-8 before skipper Jason Wright, who picked up seven wickets in the opening match of the season, stepped up again with a 12.1 over spell of 6-22 to dismiss Kirkstall for 148.

Shane Etherington (3-58) and Neil Davies (4-32) restricted Steeton to 194 but it was still too much for Burley who were dismissed for 127 thanks to Ross Suri (6-36) and Andrew Luxton, who followed up a top score of 36 with 4-21.

Andrew Wear (30) and James Roper (42) gave Harden a solid start in the battle between the two sides still looking or their first point.

But a collapse from 103-3 to 135-8 saw them bowled out for 153 and crucially hand Follifoot the chance of two extra overs. It was the third ball of the 50th over when they hit the winning runs.

Brothers Yasser and Mahir Ali combined to give Thackley a thumping win over Bolton Villas in Division Two.

Thackley lost their first wicket without a run on the board but then Yasser smashed 22 fours and three sixes in racing to 170 off 149 balls. Mahir weighed in with 42 in a total of 294-6 before picking up 5-32 as Villas were dismissed for 94.

Rawdon were also among the runs, Joe Loorham (66), James Doidge (47) and Anthony Gilks (74no) taking them to 286-7.

But stubborn work from Calverley, especially Alastair Long (69) saw them recover from 66-4 to 161-5 and pick up their first point.

Green Lane looked set to win when Ian Hawkridge (44) and Jake Wray (51) took them to 112-2 in reply to Knares- borough’s 202-6 but they collapsed and were dismissed nine runs short of victory.

Harry Nielsen (85) and Danny Bott (53) starred in Ilkley’s 232 with Nadeem Hanif picking up five wickets before Danny Groom (49) and Australian Andrew Bourne (38) helped Tong Park Esholt take two points.

Richard Nichols has proved to be an astute signing by Skipton.

He took 5-18 as Silsden were skittled out for 65, taking his tally in the first three games to 13.

Faisal Hussain weighed in with 3-37 to set up Skipton’s six wicket win that puts them six points clear at the top of Division Three.

Leon Harber (54), Andrew Robinson (49) and Mark McEneaney who followed up a quick-fire 97 with 4-32 were the stars as Horsforth dismissed Alwoodley for 167 in reply to their 291-6.

Aaron Chapman (91no) and Ally Walshaw (52no) blasted an unbeaten stand of 151 to give Hall Park victory over Olicanian, for whom Chris Wheeler (50) and Dave Britton (45no) were the top scorers.

Addingham looked set at 125-3 but lost their last seven wickets for only 14 runs as they lost by three wickets against Illingworth.

Menston are propping up the league but will take some heart by the way they chased Woodhouse’s 265-9, Gareth Lee (65) leading the pursuit that fell just 19 short.
