Ilkley Town have ambitious plans for the future.

The West Yorlshire Division One side have already recruited a number of new coaches and now they have appointed a commercial and media director.

Michael Eardley has been given the job of attracting sponsorship for the club’s burgeoning junior section.

He will also be striving to raise funds for a perimeter fence and dugouts for their Ben Rhydding pitch. Eardley said: “The club,is very ambitious and I anticipate a lot of news in the weeks and months ahead.

Training is resuming for the new season with Dave Houlston managing the first team with Dave Merrit as hi his assistant The reserves will be managed by Lee Townend who will be supported by coach Mark Maddision.

Jamie Cheik and Darren Wood will manage the academy and under-21 sides respectively.
