LITTLE Charlotte Rawstron is carving out a big reputation on the fells.

The 13-year-old Otley athlete has run up a series of victories this summer with some outstanding performances.

She added two more victories to her growing lists of summer successes in the past week.

Rawstron was too good for her rivals as the famous Ambleside Sports last Thursday.

She won the under-14 girls guide race in a time of 14min 08sec and finished more than a minute ahead of her nearest challengers, from Leven Valley’s Olesia Winder (15:14) and Helm Hill’s Sarah Smith (15:17).

It means she has now won all six races she has contested in the BOFRA Championships. She also won at Coniston Gullies, Lowgill Sports, Kettlewell, Alva Games, Cracoe and Ambleside.

Despite her successes she is currently fourth overall in the under-14 girls on 360 points.

Leader Emily Swarbrick has 452, but has competed in all nine races and her two wins came at Hawkswick Dash and Kirkby Gala which were two races Rawstron didn’t contest.

Rawstron impressed again at Cowling Fun Day on Saturday – a non-championship race where she even showed the boys a clean pair of heels to win the under-14 race in 11:33.

She was 53 seconds ahead of Wharfedale’s Amelie Lane who also finished ahead of the boys winner Matthew Bradley of Wharfedale Harriers.
