GUISELEY captain Ash Palmer has decided to leave the club and join Stockport County when his contract ends on June 30.
Palmer, who had been offered terms by the Lions, has agreed a two-year deal at Edgeley Park and has signed pre-contract terms to officially become a Hatter at the start of July.
The centre-back has been at Nethermoor for two seasons having joined them from North Ferriby United.
He has made 77 appearances for Guiseley and was popular among the Lions' supporters.
Now 25, Palmer started his career as a youngster at Barnsley before spells with Scunthorpe United, Droylsden and Buxton.
Palmer is joining former Guiseley Frank Mulhern at County. The striker signed for the National League North team last month.
