Ilkley Dynamo 4 Yeadon Athletic 1

Dynamo reached the Wharfedale Triangle League Cup Final after a clinical and comprehensive display at home in their semi-final clash against Yeadon Athletic.

Dynamo had the better of the early exchanges with both Jake Norton and Stuart Blues particularly impressive in a solid-looking defensive unit.

They went ahead early on after some polished link-up play involving Michael Bloom and Geno White resulted in midfielder Henry Barrow hitting home his fifth goal of the season.

Within minutes, the hard-working visitors had levelled matters through Karl Firth to make it 1-1, showing that Dynamo would have their work cut out in order to secure victory.

Dynamo's superiority soon started to show though. They began to move the ball quickly in midfield with Sam Webster and Ed Hainsworth prominent in numerous forays forward.

Eventually they managed to carve open the visitors' defence and Charlie Fairbank made no mistake from close range to make it 2-1.

Another burst forward by the excellent Benji Claydon resulted in him plundering a third for Dynamo, making the score 3-1. The goal was a deserved reward for the player's excellent contribution throughout the match.

Goalkeeper David Freer made a couple of close range saves to keep a vital two goal cushion for Dynamo, as the visitors showed that they would not go down without a fight.

However, it was left to man of the match Danny Bryan to crown an outstanding personal display with a fine effort on goal to seal it at 4-1.

The Dynamo manager, Oli Musgrave, has now taken them to a second successive cup final, the team having won The District FA Sunday Cup last season.

The cup final will be played against Myrtle Park at Thackley AFC's ground on Sunday April 29 with the kickoff at 11am.
