BETHAN Morley continued her run of success in the West Yorkshire Schools Cross-Country Championships.
The Ilkley Grammar School student took the individual honours in the under-17 race with a time of 14:38.
She finished six seconds ahead of her team-mate Emily Field as Bradford took first place with 56 points – 43 less than second-placed Calderdale. Ilkley’s Bernadette Raven was fifth.
Morley’s school and Ilkley Harriers colleague Dominic Coy made it a double triumph by winning the intermediate boys race in 19:21.
His efforts helped Bradford to hold off the challenge of Leeds to take top spot in the team event by just five points.
Another Ilkley athlete in good form was Cameron Reilly. He was second in the intermediate boys race with a time of 22:42 and Nathan Coy was 12th in the junior boys with a time of 15:11.
Otley AC runner Charlotte Rawstron, who was representing Leeds, came a strong third in the Year 7 girls event.
