FORTY-SIX players took part in the annual Ilkley Ladies Christmas Competition, which was a Texas Scramble over 14 holes.
It saw them scrambling in the snow and ice, but much laughter could be heard over the course as the sun shone and the festive hats kept the players warm.
The ladies played in teams of three or four with the winning team of Vicky Downs, Sue Jenkinson, Liz Packett and Sonia Curnow scoring a nett 55.
The runners up, with a nett score of 55, who narrowly missed out on the prize on a countback, were Julia Bennett, Jean Schofield, Margaret Dodd and Carol Briggs.
The competition was followed by mulled wine, a very festive lunch and the prize giving.
