THE second Prince Henry’s Barbarians v Otley match will be staged at Cross Green on Boxing Day.

The inaugural fixture last year raised £2,500 and it is hoped that figure will be bettered.

Half of the money raised will go towards the teenage Cancer Trust in memory of Jack Hurst, a Year 13 student at Prince Henry's, who passed away earlier this year.

The remaining money will go towards new drainage for the school's first team rugby pitch. Entry on the day will be £5 (under-18s free).

The Barbarians side will again be coached by Pete Latham, MBE. Anyone interested in finding out more, or taking part, should email Chris Smith at ce.smith@princehenrys.co.uk

The festive encounter, which is supported by Old Otliensians, kicks off at 2pm

will be preceded by a curtain raiser at 12.30pm between Otley Elves and Prince Henry's Santas.

The fund-raising efforts will be boosted by a raffle and the prizes will include an England shirt donated by former Prince Henry's student Danny Care.
