Ilkley Dynamo 5 Yeadon Athletic 2

DYNAMO were quickly into their rhythm and made a sparkling start to their Wharfedale Triangle Premier Division game when Struan Connor opened the scoring from close range thanks to some creative work by Geno White.

The hosts pressed hard for the ball and moved with speed and accuracy.

Both Sam Webster and Oli Blair were outstanding in an accomplished defence while Ed Hainsworth was particularly effective wide on the left.

David Freer, the Dynamo keeper, tipped a precise strike over the bar to ensure his side stayed in front.

Dynamo's quick and incisive attacks resulted in Connor scoring twice more to complete his hat-trick.

Striker Lee McGowan also contributed with some excellent defensive movement and Rob Caddick gave another impressive performance for the team.

Well ahead, the home side relaxed and Yeadon soon capitalised on the counter attack, with James Barker and Karl Firth adding two well-taken goals to make it 3-2.

Nerves were frayed before a stunning strike by Red Bolton and a late goal from Stuart Blues made it 5-2 to give Dynamo their second-successive home victory.
