Ilkley Dynamo 6 Hampsthwaite 4
A SUPERB hat-trick by the classy Danny Bryan ensured Dynamo went through to the second round of the Wharfedale Triangle League Cup.
Initial Dynamo dominance resulted in Stuart Blue opening the scoring and they were soon 3-1 up thanks to goals from Geno White and Danny Bryan.
White, who was making his debut for the club, offered a measure of authority in central midfield as the home side had been forced to make late changes through injuries.
Hampsthwite recovered well and at one brief stage were 4-3 ahead.
However, another powerful display up front by Lee McGowan ensured that Dynamo had an attacking edge.
Late on, the home side went up a gear with man of the match Danny Bryan showing excellent composure in front of goal to complete his deserved hat-trick.
Red Bolton added the final goal after some fine work by Alex McPherson as Dynamo succeeded in blunting any sporadic Hampsthwite attacks to go through after an entertaining, incident packed game.
