GUISELEY are to reward their loyal supporters by pegging matchday and season ticket prices.

They hope the initiative will enable them to continue to increase their gates as they prepare for a third campaign in the National League.

Their average crowd rose to 1,100 this season when the Lions escaped relegation with a last-minute goal from Danny Lowe in the final game against Solihull Moors which secured the point they needed to send York City down.

Guiseley's admission prices are £15 for adults, £10 concessions and £5 for 12-18s. Accompanied under-12s are admitted free.

The season ticket price freeze applies for supporters purchasing them before June 30.

The prices are adult £240, concession £160, junior 12-18 years £70, U-12s Free of charge. All season tickets include a free seat reservation option.

An added bonus to early purchase of a season ticket is that they can be used for the home pre-season friendlies which have included in recent years matches with Leeds United, Huddersfield Town, Barnsley, Bradford City, Rotherham and Sunderland.

The club is currently discussing some exclusive local discounts and offers with local businesses which will only be available to season ticket holders.

Chairman Phil Rogerson said: "We have been pleased with the way our crowds have gone up, particularly after the bad start we had to the season.

"When we first came up I think there were a lot of people wondering who we were. Once they came along they have enjoyed what they have seen.

"We are working hard to try and retain our ethos as a friendly club which appeals to all the family."

Rogerson says that the club is committed to establishing itself in the National League.

"The aim for next season is to try and get into the top half. We don't want any more last-day survival battle," he said.

The management team of Adam Lockwood and David Penney are currently reviewing the playing staff.

They are expected to announce shortly the players they want for next season.

Last year the club decided to get rid of eight players and that led to the unsettling start to the season which saw the Lions lose their first seven games.

"Adam and Dave will be busy working out who to keep and which players to bring in," said Roberson.

"I am sure they want to have a settled squad for the pre-season friendlies so that we are ready when the season begins.

"Obviously, it will be a boost to have a player like Jon Rooney fit again and he can make a big difference for us. He only played a few games before getting injured but has a good goalscoring record from midfield."
