THERE were truly incredible scenes at Nethermoor on Saturday as Guiseley stayed up in the most dramatic fashion.

It looked as if the Lions were going to be relegated to the National League North, only for Danny Lowe to equalise with a header in stoppage time to secure a 1-1 draw with Solihull Moors.

Yet they were still biting their fingernails after the final whistle as players and fans waited for the result to come in from York City's match with Forest Green, which still had minutes to play.

The Minstermen needed to better Guiseley's result to stay up but were drawing 2-2 and could not find a winner.

News that York's game had finished meant the Lions were safe and was the cue for big celebrations at Nethermoor.

It was the second successive season which they had managed to stay up on the final day.

Photographer Thomas Gadd was at the game to picture everything as the scene unfolded.
