RHYS Morgan is urging his Ilkley side to return to winning ways at Kendal on Saturday.

He wants a positive response from his players after their disappointing 10-3 home loss to Lymm which saw them drop onto the bottom half of the National League Three North table.

“Let’s go and get some points on the board,” the head of rugby said as he looked ahead to the next challenge for his battered squad.

Winger Ricky Palacio suffered a broken ankle against Lymm while Billy Hickson, JH Johnson and Josh Cockerham all picked up injuries which forced them to leave the action.

Prop Cockerham suffered a cut head early in the game, but had to return at number eight when Johnson went off. All apart from Palacio are expected to be fit for the trip to Kendal while Ed Brown, Jon Hutchinson and Rob Rekis are in the frame for places after missing the Lymm game to rest injuries.

Also coming back will be wingers Dion Hendricks and Luke Freer, the latter having recovered from a recent head injury.

Morgan said: “We know the areas where we need to work on. The line-out is proving a difficult at the moment as we have two flankers in the second row and are missing a key jumper in Will Davies. We have to rely on speed and movement as we are shorter than most teams. It means taking riskier throws.”
