Ilkley Dynamo 6 Keighley Athletic 4

Tom Higman hat-trick helped to ensure Dynamo recorded their third league victory of the season in an exhilarating game against Keighley Athletic.

The home side began brightly and a decisive burst forward by Ross Wilson produced a pinpoint pass for Higman to open the scoring in the sixth minute.

Dynamo passed the ball with accuracy and purpose before Higman pounced again to put them 2-0 ahead.

However, Keighley pulled back two quick goals to level matters at 2-2.

Sam Jacomb, who was yet again a stirring physical presence for Dynamo, worked hard, before some slick play by Tom Reynolds found Danny Henderson, whose solo run resulted in a low powerful drive to make it 3-2.

The visitors continued to flourish on the break and Joe Brady hit home to make it 3-3.

Dynamo began to show more spark in the later exchanges and finally managed to impose themselves on the game.

Ross Wison was brought down in the area and Higman made no mistake to complete his hat-trick and put the home side 4-3 ahead.

The mercurial Henderson added his second goal and Chris Holmes struck before Keighley added a late consolation.
