Glorious weather greeted the early competitors in Nasrin Nicklin’s rearranged Ladies’ President’s Day. Some good golf was played and before Nas conducted the prize presentation she thanked all her helpers, with particular reference to husband, Paul, for helping to make the day such a success. James North held off the charge of junior members, Alex Harm and Finley Power, to win the mid-week stableford. Scores were:-
J North (10) 42 points; A Harm (9) 39 points; F Power (20) 38
John Milne’s astonishing score of 61 nett enabled him to finish as the winner of the Centenary Trophy by quite some distance. Chris Barlow was the winner of a particularly competitive second division whilst Simon Bradley’s 70 was the best gross score of the day. Medal results were:-
