ALL-ROUNDER Nick Brook and batsman Sami Rehman powered Burley to a crushing 201-run win over Kirkstall Educational in Division One.

Opener Rehman made a fine 115, an innings which contained two sixes and 13 fours, as he and Brook (56) put on 188 for the second wicket in a Burley total of 276-6.

Kirkstall's lingering hopes of snatching the Division One title were dealt a killer blow as Brook produced a devastating burst of 5-9 as they were dismissed for just 75. He removed the first three batsmen in his opening five balls.

Champions Otley bowled out Steeton for 107 before easing to an eight-wicket win. James Davies (4-27) and Sam Blake (4-32) did the damage.

Openers Ben Morley (42) and Jamie Pickering (42no) ensured that Otley had no problem wrapping up their 13th win in 15 matches.

Despite the victory, Otley saw their lead cut to eight points because Beckwithshaw collected a maximum 20 points for their 170-run triumph over Follifoot.

A sixth-wicket stand of 123 between Ryan Gladwin (99) and Andrew Duckworth (54) helped Rawdon to an 88-run win over Guiseley who are only five points above the drop zone.

Ilkley remain bottom after suffering a seven-wicket defeat against Collingham. They lost their way after a promising start from openers Rory Kroon (57) and Jono Hughes (31) and were dismissed for 175 as Toby Jacklin (4-42) and Stephen Booth (3-40) sparked a decline.

Openers Bryan Leigh (54) and Jack Harrison (51) put on 102 for Collingham who faltered against the bowling of Chris Quaife (4-40) before edging home.

Harden captain Paul Quinlan led from the front as his side overcame Tong Park Esholt in a crucial Division Two relegation battle.

With the visitors going well at 147-3, Quinlan bowled Saqib Mir for 38 and in his next over produced a hat-trick as Tong Park Esholt crumbled to 151-7.

Danny Groom, who made an unbeaten 65, stopped the rot with a stand of 47 with Lyle D’Razalio, but Quinlan stepped in again, ending the innings on 205, taking the final two wickets in successive balls

Not satisfied with his afternoon’s work, Quinlan then hit a half-century as his side got home by six wickets, Isaac Murray (42no) rounding things off.

That lifts Harden 16 points clear of their opponents, who remain in the bottom two. The other relegation spot is held by Green Lane who took a step towards safety by chasing down Illingworth’s 266-8 with six wickets in hand.

Waleed Akhtar (69), Andy Lee (52), Tony Cornwell (61) and Jake Agar (31no) led the way.

That was a vital result because Thackley eased their relegation fears with a two-wicket win over Ben Rhydding in a thriller.

Struan Connor (42) and Dickie Bolton (40no) were the main contributors as Ben Rhydding made 186-9 with Jonathan Rudge taking 4-46.

Rudge (55) then teamed up with Sidhant Adhatrao (90) to put on 113 after Thackley recovered from 53-5 to win.

Horsforth appear to have the promotion jitters. The long-time leaders suffered their second-successive defeat as they went down by seven wickets at home to Adel. Horsforth's batting faltered as they were dismissed for 122, a total Adel cruised past with Andy Laws making an unbeaten 85.

Third-placed Skipton followed up their win over Horsforth the previous week by defeating Knaresborough by 34 runs to move within 11 points of the promotion places.

Colton are the new leaders after bowling out Pool for 83 to secure a surprisingly comfortable 84-run victory. Pool looked to have given themselves a good chance when David Amos (5-39) and Sam Wilkinson (4-39) bowled out Colton for a modest 167, but their hopes were scuppered when they plunged to 45-7 after losing four wickets in 16 balls.

The pack at the top of Division Three re-shuffled but it remains a wide-open race with only 27 points between top and seventh.

Third-placed Calverley won their fifth match in a row by beating Addingham by two wickets thanks largely to Jatinder Singh and Naveed Panesar.

Laurie O’Connor (41) and Henry Barrow (40) helped Addingham recover from 43-4 to 208-9 as Singh took 4-36 and Panesar (3-66). Panesar then hit 63 and Singh (44no) as Calverley got home by two wickets. New Rover capitalised on Addingham's defeat to take top spot from them with an 85-run win over bottom team Silsden. Majid Inayat scored 88 for Silsden but New Rover’s 269-4 total was far too much for his side to chase.

Jonathan Postle (4-36) and Denis Rock (3-23) scuttled Bolton Villas for 76 to set up and eight-wicket win for Hall Park.

Tom Burton (5-34) and Charlie Parker (3-38) restricted Olicanian to 156 but Menston could only manage 98 in reply.
