Keighley Athletic 1 Ilkley Dynamo 1

DYNAMO provided a positive response after recent setbacks and looked to be the more accomplished side despite having to settle for a draw at Marley Stadium.

Quality was in short supply early in the game as both sides created little in a scrappy affair.

Acting captain Michael Bloom and full back Rob Powell excelled in defence for Dynamo as the team battled hard for a breakthrough.

A bustling performance by Simon Walker, a defender who was playing up front for the first time this season, was rewarded when he hammered home a fine goal at the second attempt to put the visitors 1-0 up.

Keighley continued to shut down Dynamo too easily and a fine run by Joe Brady resulted in him scoring a goal just before the break to level matters.

Dynamo began to take control and improved remarkably in an effort to break the deadlock.

They produced a number of dangerous crosses resulting in some powerful shots on target from Tom Higman and the lively Phil Thomessen.

These were parried away by Sam Lee, the Keighley goalkeeper, who gave an impressive performance.

Late on, Luke Hudson appeared to have scored the winner for Dynamo, only to be denied yet again by Lee.
