Pool 2 Aberford Albion 0
POOL again showed why they are pushing for a promotion spot with this fine display.
However, a defensive error gave Aberford the first chance of the match, Andy Caine in the Pool goal making an instinctive save at his near post.
Caine was called upon again later to pull off a good point-blank save. It was Pool though who had the best of the game with Andy Graham opening the scoring, his header placed perfectly just inside the post.
Pool sealed the match midway through the second half with Tom Flemming firing home from close range. It was good to see three youngsters put into the side and doing well, namely Jamie Algar, Billy Drake and Harvey Atkinson. All doing a fine job when put into the fray.
The victory puts Pool in a strong position in third place with games in hand.
