MARTINA Stenlund continued her goalscoring spree by netting four times as Ilkley produced a stunning display to sweep their opponents aside.

It was the third time she has scored three or more goals in a game this season and she was assisted on this occasion by some creative play by her colleagues.

The tone for the game was set in the first minute when Stenlund scored after good work from Cleo Oldham and Hannah Spivey.

It was no surprise when the lead was extended by Spivey in the the 18th minute when she got on the end of a good cross from Oldham.

Ilkley were moving the ball about with ease and Stenlund scored her second goal after a great move involving Spivey, Oldham and Becky Gill as she made it 3-0.

Katie Barstow continued her goal-scoring run as he made it 4-0 just before half time.

In the second half Ilkley played some flowing one-touch football and scored three goals in a four-minute spell.

Stenlund completed her hat-trick after finishing a move of breathtaking quality which swept the whole length of the pitch and Becky Gill a headed the seventh goal after forcing the keeper to make a good save.

Gill capped her fine individual display by scoring the eighth goal and Barstow's second followed soon after.

Ellie Oates hit a post and Kat Lee had one shot hit the bar before Stenlund rounded off the scoring from Gill's corner.

The result liftsIlkley up to third place in the title.
