Pool 3, Whitkirk Wanderers 0

POOL yet again took ten to 15 minutes to get into their stride but once firing on all cylinders there was only going to be one winner of this West Yorkshire League Division One contest.

Just when Pool were wondering where the goals might come from, Tom Flemming curled a perfect shot past the Whitkirk keeper.

The second goal quickly followed, a superb passing move down the left culminating in a low cross being powered home by Matthew Doran.

The same player was then on hand to make it three before half-time.

Despite taking their foot off the pedal a little, Pool never looked in danger of losing the lead but only created a handful of chances to add to their tally.

Their defence was again well organised, having conceded just three goals to date in league matches.

This latest win lifts them to third in the table with matches in hand.
