IN-FORM Ilkley will be looking for revenge for a rare defeat when they visit Wheatley Hills on Saturday.

The Doncaster-based side knocked the Dalesmen out of the Yorkshire Cup 36-34 earlier this season and now the two sides meet in North One East action at Brunel Road.

With Ilkley having won their last three games despite their horrendous injury problems, they travel full of hope.

Coach Rhys Morgan said: "The cup game was played before we started the league programme and we used it as a barometer of what sort of challenge we could expect in this league.

"We did very well and probably should have won, but it did give us an invaluable insight to the forward power of teams at North One East level.

"We certainly know what to expect on Saturday and if we can continue out good form I am optimistic that we can keep our winning run going.

"I have never seen them look as shattered as they were when they left the pitch after last Saturday's 31-20 win over Alnwick.

"That was a real battle because Alnwick are a fine side. I was delighted that we came away from the win because it keeps us in fifth place.

"It was the sort of match where our less experienced players like Chris Chapman, Ben Magee and James Crossley will have learned a lot."

Once again Morgan will have to re-organise his back row with Ollie Renton now ruled out after suffering a dog bite on one of his hands.

On the plus side Gus Ramsay and Rupert Gartland are now available again.

Centre Crossley, who made his debut as a second-half substitute against Alnwick, has a hamstring problem and is likely to be rested, but skipper Stuart Vincent is now fully fit and raring to play.

Morgan said: "Vinny is desperate to get some game time. He has been knocking lumps off of us all in training."
