THE West Riding County Cup draw has thrown up some tasty derbies for local clubs, with Guiseley v AFC Halifax Town being the stand-out first-round tie.

The Shaymen will be heading to Nethermoor at the end of the month or in the first week of October.

The other two Vanarama Conference League clubs, Bradford Park Avenue and last season’s beaten finalists Harrogate Town, were handed byes.

Silsden were also given a first-round derby and home advantage. The Cobbydalers will host Barnoldswick Town. Brighouse Town will travel to Evo-Stik Division One North rivals Harrogate Railway Athletic.

Farsley must journey to Glasshoughton Welfare, with the winners drawn at holders Eccleshill United. The Eagles, Avenue and Thackley were among the eight clubs lucky enough to receive byes.
