Guiseley boss Mark Bower has challenged his team to "bounce back" after Monday's shock 3-1 defeat by Gainsborough Trinity at Nethermoor.

It was their first loss of the season and they have the perfect chance to get back to winning ways with another Vananarama Conference North home match against Gloucester City on Saturday.

But Bower, who will be without suspended midfieldman Gavin Rothery, doesn't believe his men will be in for an easy time.

He said: "It is important that we put Monday's defeat behind us and the best way is by coming out and getting a win. Last season wer were great at bouncing back after setbacks.

"However,Gloucester will have seen how Gainsborough disrupted us by getting ten men behind the ball and counter attacking and I wouldn't be surprised to see them do the same.

"We saw in the final game of last season what a resolute side they are and they are the only side to have taken a point off leaders North Ferriby. By all accounts they were unlucky not to win."

Jack Stockdill, who impressed during his appearance as a substitute against Gainsborough, is challenging for the place vacated by the suspended Rothery.
