Ilkley’s rugby players will be sporting a smart new look this season.

The club’s main sponsors Barwick have provided the new strip for the club’s return to North East One.

The Dalesmen will be hoping that they can build on last season’s success when they won Yorkshire One and the Yorkshire Shield.

Preparations for the new season are well under way and the first team will have their first outing at Kendal tomorrow evening.

Next Saturday they visit Wheatley Hill in the first round of the Yorkshire Cup, before starting their league programme a week later at Pocklington.

Their first league game at Stacks Field will be against Percy Park on Saturday, September 13.

Player recruitment is going well with Harrogate second row James Spencer and utility back James Henry from Leodensians added to the squad.
