Guiseley 2 Harrogate Town 0
Guiseley leapt back into the play-off places in the Conference North last night with a derby victory over promotion rivals Harrogate Town.
Two first-half headers earned the Lions the win, with Jake Lawlor putting the home side in front early on and Adam Boyes nodding the second to lift Guiseley back to fifth – three points better off than Boston United.
It was a huge disappointment for Town as it ended their outside chances of qualifying for the end-of-season extras.
Simon Weaver’s men are now 11 points off the play-off places with just three games of the season remaining.
