Ilkley Dynamo 6 Saltaire 0

Dynamo gave an irrepressible second-half performance in Wensday night's Wharfedale Triangle Premier Division game which was played in misty, overcast conditions.

Ollie Blair opened the scoring after reacting the quickest from close range on the half-hour mark to put Dynamo 1-0 ahead.

The visitors then had their best spell of the match as both teams battled hard for midfield supremacy.Craig Bentham was again impressive for Dynamo with both Sam Jacomb and Liam Hudson also prominent at the heart of the home defence.

However, Saltaire maintained their composure and Shane Etherington, the Dynamo Keeper, made an outstanding save from close range to thwart one of a number of sporadic forays forward by the visitors, to ensure Dynamo kept their slender lead.

With both teams playing some positive football, it was the Dynamo side that gradually took control. Their speedy passing, real fluency and powerful running was extremely effective against a strong Salts team.

They produced one of their best performances of the season in an absolutely blistering 45 minute spell after the break.

Danny Henderson, who always looked dangerous, hit a lobbed shot over the visitors' goalkeeper to put the home side 2-0 in front. Then the impressive Luke Hudson, who held the ball up well, added two further goals to take his tally for the season to 15 as Dynamo created a succession of chances.

The visitors could not contain a rampant Dynamo team determined to continue their recent run of excellent form. Chris Holmes added a fifth just before Simon Walker completed the rout to make it six against a side completely shocked after having matched Dynamo evenly throughout the first half.
