Guiseley continued their push for a play-off finish when they came back from 2-1 down to win 3-2 at Stalybridge Celtic.

The win took them up to sixth place in the Skrill North table and they have now taken 23 points during a nine-match unbeaten run.

Adam Boyes gave the Lions an early lead but the home side rallied and went on to dominate long periods of the first half. They got their reward when Sean McConville equalised right on the stroke of half-time.

The Celts’ keeper denied Gaving Rothery and then Boyes on the follow-up as Guiseley pressed but a rapid counter-attack led to Liam Dickinson putting the home side in front.

Lions boss Mark Bower threw Alex Johnson on from the bench and he levelled the scores before Wayne Brooksby rounded two defenders to strike the winning goal.
